Someone poured acid down you windows - unbelievable. Can't understand why people do things like that. Thanks for the kind offer to send me an antenna. Very generous. PM sent.
There ya go.....$1350 for the glass, not bad at all......got your PM, I'll try to mail out this weekend. If you can reuse your trim escutcheon I'll keep the few pieces I found on the ground, as spares... Yea, ......acid from the Hospital Path Lab most likely.....I'm pretty succesful in my line of work and the jealousy the Ferrari triggers is truly unbelievable among the lower ranks, most of which drive flash Ford trucks worth far more, the difference is they are in debt to their eyeballs! LOL! At the end of the day, I'm still 'the winner"!
Finally got the estimate from the insurance company: $5,832 - That was one expensive tree branch. I'm going to have the entire car repainted. Not sure if they'll be able to match 28 year old paint. I'll post some pics when I get her back. -GT
YIKES!!!! Thank goodness the limb didn't punch through the glass and cause some injury. This might be a great opportunity to recover your dash (if it needs it)... Good luck
Harada makes a replacement power antenna for about $15, if you're not an OEM perfectionist. I installed one a couple of years ago to replace a defective OEM unit- works great. Harada MQ-1 is the replacement model.
You might want to swing buy the dealer for an estimate....that number looks low to me. I had a little fire, damaged the bumper, tail light and in the truck, I figured about $4k....the dealer figured closer to $18.5k.
Sorry to see that... I had a similar 'miracle' where a stone came over the front when I had the roof off and broke my back window from the inside!
Damn, karen .......what are the odds of that???? You don't need my spare antenna then? I'll toss it back into the shelf.......
I missed a close call when a lug bolt off an 18 wheeler was deflected off my wiper arm, instead of thru my front glass...it was a huge bolt......
Don't need the antenna, thanks, as I only ever listen to "Enzo's Symphony"! Actually if I could get an original 'plate' to fill in the radio hole, that'd be good. There's currently a stereo thingy there but I don't even know what brand it is.
