From my research it seems as though dealers charge the following for extending the warranty on V8 Cars:

    Factory Extended Year#4: $6800
    Factory Extended Year#4 & 5: $10400 (If purchased simultaneously)
    Power/Cube Extended Year#6 $4,500
Power/Cube Extended Year#7 $3,750 ($375 discount for renewing year over year + $375 discount if no claims yr 1)
Power/Cube Extended Year#8 through Year #12 $3,750 (Same as above)

This roughly averages to $4500 per yr. over 5 yrs. (after initial warranty expires)

Does anyone have an idea what the “dealers cost” on the Factory Extended Warranty per yr. and the Power Extended Warranty per year?? I would be curious to know what they are making on these plans and also if there are larger margins for the dealers on the ”Factory Extended Warranty” (Yr. #4 and #5) vs the “Power/Cube Extended Warranty” (Yr. #6 through #12)

I read somewhere on another thread that the “dealer cost” for the Power/Cube per yr. was somewhere between $2600 and $2800. That’s appox. 40% off list. Does this sound about right and can anyone verify this?

Also has anyone ever have any luck negotiating the Extended Warranty or Power Cube Pricing down from the quoted price??
