    Hi:
With my Porto about to arrive in port I started to wonder about the delivery day. Much excitement that’s hard to contain!
Can anybody tell me about their experience with the Finance Manager when taking delivery of a Porto? Are you subjected to the same pressures as at other dealers? What do they try to sell you? Wheel & Tire Package? Ceramic coating? Additional warranty at today’s prices?
    Just want to be prepared.
    Thanks!!

In my experience- it was just about payment options. For me I did the paperwork ahead of time and wired funds- so when I picked it up it was just about enjoying the delivery.

Thanks, Gooey. That’s what I was hoping to hear. I’ll be following the same process as you.

It was wheel & tire insurance, dent & ding insurance and coating options. I bought the wheel & tire insurance and already have had one tire bubble and be replaced in the first 1,000 miles. I also did the front bra and hood coating. It was not a hard sell.

    Hi BHMSOCCER:
I would consider the wheel and tire package if priced reasonably. Otherwise I’ll self-insure.
Roads around my home just north of NYC are pretty poor in the winter. That’s when my fun car goes south for the winter. Saves a lot of flats and damaged wheels. My winter car is much less sporty and is better dealing with hazardous winter road conditions.
    Thanks for your response.
