I tried to rotate the pic correctly but this is best I could do

Just noticed this. Is the black piece a removable insert of something that is integral to the bumper and masked and painted?

    How have you fixed this?

    Thank you

    It's just masked and painted.

    Thanks Mike.

How do you repair this now without redoing the whole bumper? I'm assuming it is just the black paint that is lifting and needs to be prepped and repainted.

theres no need to redo the entire bumper......just mask off the sections you don't want painted....sand and use a gell coat (if needed) on the affected mat black area and respray with primer and paint. easy repair.

Thank you. So just get into that recess and peel away the lifted paint, sand and paint?

I'll look at the other recesses but I think that's the only one that's lifting like that.

    Should that be primed first?

Bob, unless you're planning to repaint all of the black you might want to choose the paint you're going to use before stripping the area so you can test shoot over a small area of the remaining paint to confirm a match.

Thanks Mike. I probably won't do anything with it until the spring. I'll research paint options
