I've noticed that at Road Atlanta. My Porsche runs evenly until cars get to about 110. Then I pull away. Surprises me.
I went 206 in my brother's car. We actually calcuated this out. I forgot the formula, I can get it though, but it was in 6th gear doing around 7,800 RPMs.
Not exactly sure? My '81 308 has the 85mph speedo in it. I was at a track event at summit point W.Va. I was in 5th gear@ 6000 rpm on the straight,...130 mph maybe? Got a little nervous. Front end felt like it was lifting ( doesn't have the deep front spoiler). Steering wasn't real responsive at that speed. Will
276 km/t (~170mph) in my earlier 348tb (F119AB Spec.) on track. Logged 334,3 km/t (~208mph) in my 993RS (modified).
In an F-car? A blistering 50mph jaunt down Old Culter Road in Coral Gables in an 88TR. In my Esprit? 160+ Not saying where. In any car? 185+ in a vortech sc'd ZR-1. Still not gonna say where.
I've done a tad over 200 in an F40.... and I ain't tellin' where Ciao Dino btw...so far 195 in my SL55 (derestricted)...with some more room to go!!
Was too worried about the FHP and what not to stare at the speedo.. but nearly 170 last week on the FL Turnpike somewhere South of Kissimmee. 140+ all the time on the Turnpike. One of these days I'm going to end up in "Pound-Me-In-The-You-Know-Where" prison.
been 115mph on snowmobile, 70mph in my truck (not topped out, but would never go any faster in it! ha!) and 170 as a passenger in a 993RS on speed test track. What can you do...radar detectors are forbidden in canada
Hit 155 earlier this year in my 97 NSX. Still had rpm's to go but coming over the top of a hill at that speed seemed to big a chance to take. Some nice, isolated roads here in CA to open up the engine. Speed Safely!!
This was in one of my past Porsche's: You can even see my hand on the camera in the reflection of the speedo glass...
.....199 in my F40. Rather focuses ones attention. 147 so far in the Gallardo... my friend in Monaco owns an Enzo...claims 201 on the AutoRoute between Nice and Canne...!
...and for you pilots out there: rode in the cockpit of the Concorde a few years ago. The groundspeed readout showed 1215...knots! He wins.
I imagine you are talking about MPH and not KPH, in which case the 201 claim is quite a feat given that autoroute stretch is quite not very straight, usually quite busy and full of gendarmes wanting to apply the 'loi Gayssot'...
I did 140 on a Ducati 748 on the freeway a few weeks ago and I have a picture of me with my knee on the ground at 90+ at a track day. Italian machinery at speed sure is something to experience.
200mph according to teh Ferrari Speedo. 99 360 Modena, going to vegas about 5AM. in reality it is probably 190mph. In Germany i have gone 320km/h in a Mercedes-Benz SL600 with a 7.3 Brabus Motor. James Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login

180mph so far as per http://ferrarichat.com/forum/showpost.php?p=190880&postcount=70 but on reflection I'm sure there's room for improvement. One day want to crack 200mph in the right (F-) car...
