    Hi All:

    My 04 360 comes with 215 (f) & 275 (r) tires.

What's the largest tires (F/R) I can go on my stock 360 wheels (without rubbing)?

    Thank you for your input.

Also I think my front wheels are 18 X 8.5 & rears are 18 X 10.5, can anyone confirm this?

    Thanks in advance.

    Regards,
    JIMMY

I put challenge rims and 20mm larger Pirelli P-Zero Corsas all around.

    235/18 front 295/18 rear

    No problems.

I struggled and really thought a Red 360 looks better without the challenge grill..... maybe in the future. :)

    Jimmy,

It sounds like you are trying to add wider tyres to your current rims?

Be careful here, as to make the car handle it is BETTER to run with tyres slightly too narrow for the rim (Common race track trick). This eliminates sidewall flex and helps the car change direction quicker.

If you put a tyre that is too wide for your rim then the tyre will walk all over the place and make the car feel indecisive when you are trying to select a line for a corner.

Also you should never go more than 2 sizes wider OR narrower for safety sake.

Thanks for your input. Is there any particular tire size (front/rear) you recommend?

    On stock wheels, of course.

Or, do you perfer just keep it the stock size. Thax!

No idea. I do not own a F360, but I would stick with the standard width. On the road and ocassional track days you won't need more.

You should have 18x7.5 front and 18x10 rear. I'm not sure if the modular wheel option is any wider.

The Challenge I believe runs an 18x8 front. Rear is 18x10. It's unfortunate that the front is not wider. I probably would not run wider than a 225 on the 7.5 front. Ideally, a 235 would be best up front on an 8 or 8.5" wheel. You can run a wider tire in the back like a 285. Just make sure your aspect ratios maintain a balanced overal diameter front/rear. Many people are moving to 19" Stradale sizing on wheels and tires. The tires are the Pirelli Corsas in 225/35-19 front and 285/35-19 rear.

I believe the fronts are an 18x8 as opposed to your 18x7.5.

I think aspect on that Corsa ratio is a 40 front and 30 rear.

30 series in the rear will make the car sit too low in the rear..... it is too bad corsas do not come in a 35 series..i tried to do it myself...instead i put on pilot sport 235 40 18 in the front and 295 35 18 in the rear, but i also went with the challenge wheels......but i am having a problem.......my ASR comes on premature. anybody know what is happening?

Yup, it's an odd size but that's what is available for 18. The rear is about 5mm lower (or a little less than 1/4"). In 19, on the Stradale, they run 35s all around.

FYI- if you plan on running the Corsa, which is a DOT-R tire, I recommend you shave them about 4/32 if you plan of tracking the car right away. Otherwise, run them on the street for 300-400 miles first. Impressive grip.

With regards to ASR, the 360 can be very sensitive to wheel/tire changes. Specifically, some cars are more sensitive than others. I've seen ASR come on in some cars and not in others with wheel/tire mod. I think it has to do with the sensitivity setting on the ASR ECU, but I have not been able to confirm it yet. Again, this is why many have opted to stick with a wheel/tire package size offered on a factory variation of the 360 (ie, CH or Stradale).

First off, I'm assuming this never happened with your stock wheels? When does the ASR light come on? Can you replicate it? Are you getting induced wheel spin or oversteer with the Challenge wheels?

Small changes in the rake of the car can have a dramatic effect on vehicle balance. The 360 is very sensitive to rake changes. It's difficult to determine the exact cause of your problem, but assuming this only started with your new wheel/tire setup, my guess would be it has something to do with variances in tire diameters versus stock.
