    Hi,

iam a little confused about the 328 Workshop manual.

On one sheet they say, You should use 45Nm for the cylinder head nuts and on the Torque Table they say, You should use 100Nm, whats right ?

Whats the right torque for the torque wrench, because You use the special tool for screw on and the center of the wrench isnt the center of the stud.

    Thanks

    Dirk

Like many other modern engines, the 328 isn't intended to have the studs re-torqued.

The studs are torqued to a specific value, then the nut is rotated a specific number of degrees which actually stretches the studs so that they slightly permanently deform & are under tension.

If you back-off a stud & try to re-torque it, you'll over stretch it and risk it breaking.
