anybody have a clue on this one? i've googl'd around and found some articles from late 2003 making a big deal about it. wtf has happened? anything?

are any of the carriers doing it (ANYBODY?)? how fast is it? is it reliable? do they charge $1000000 per minute like the early telephone services charged?

i know some carriers are offering "get your email" crapola thorugh the existing vodafone setups, but i want a tcp/ip connection so i can jack in and do my own thing.
