1997 Ferrari F-355 Challenge
Inderstand, a Goverment Auction? Deffenetly the weong Auction for this car!!! Good luck with the sale...
"Starts and runs"- very reassuring . . . And why would the US Marshals object to posting the VIN? Having said all that, someone must know the car- whose was it?
Obviously run in the CCR series so some guys on FC should know it. Looks a bit rugged, lots of original parts missing or cut in pieces, right door out of line but nothing which couldn't be fixed with manhours in the workshop. Will probably sell in the region of 60k+. VIN is shown on one picture.
Yes I know previous owner Black Horse had 3 I got 2 of the 3, own the black and silver currently I wont be able to get any history until next week but I believe it was in great condition. It has or had a website selling it Might still be up google 355 challenge for sale EDIT !-------------------- I believe the car MIGHT have been owned by Tom Hauk Very good car they just told me lost invested ferrari of houston may have done the last service http://www.kansascity.com/news/local/crime/article51094930.html Image Unavailable, Please Login
I spoke to the KC mechanic who maintained the car when not at Ferrari of Houston. He said the car was maintained with an open wallet. Not a junker as reported by the internet picture detectives (or bidders???). Tim has the black car in the pic, and he, I, and Bob have the silver one (for a race car, it's pristine). Really, really, too bad we can't get the full set! It would certainly save us some money on pictures. Heck, I'm so broke I can't pay attention. Already sold the kids and the dog. My freeway ramp hasn't been paying off lately either. If you're a real bidder, you can pm me for the tech's phone number.
well...you guys are good I figured someone would know. I have to hand it to him, he was a real car guy, albiet with other peoples money! And I know he enjoyed this young lady, just the way Jerome will get to know him. Buckley said there were also good times. They traveled the world shopping for cars. “Anything from the Ducati to Bruladaro, which is a $65,000 motorcycle,” she said. She said her recovery is ongoing. “It’s just like I stopped my life and started living for him for a couple of years and I’m picking right back up where I left off,” she said. Anytime a potential red flag appeared, she said Hauk had a ready, logical explanation for it. She said he is smart and charismatic. “He talked the talk. He talked the talk. He was a name dropper,” she said. “He was charismatic in a weird, nerdy, dorky, creepy way.” She said when the FBI showed up, she realized things were falling apart. She said if there’s one thing people need to learn, it is to stay in control of their lives.
Hauk, 42, also used stolen money to pay living expenses during two marriages and divorces and to purchase jewelry and other items. Read more here: Man pleads guilty to embezzling millions from company affiliated with golfer Tom Watson | The Kansas City Star
It's a nice 355C. I saw it at COTA a couple years ago at a CCR event. I sure wish I had some cash laying around because I really need a 4th Challenge car.. Ha! Don't be afraid of this. Someone is going to get a deal.
I wouldn´t hesitate to buy the car as a project if I would be in the market again but sorry, Bruce, open wallet maintenance looks different, at least where I´m getting my cars serviced. Did you look at the passenger seat? Or that "construction" behind the the drivers seat?
That "construction" is a camera mount. Other than a tear in the fabric, what's wrong with the passenger seat?
