Hey everyone: I have seen this Stradale listed on ebay for a while:

    http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Ferrari-360-2004-Ferrari-Challenge-Stradale-12-000-Miles-New-_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQhashZitem27b25fcc53QQitemZ170496347219QQptZUSQ5fCarsQ5fTrucks#ht_946wt_777

Just out of curiosity I was wondering if anyone knows the story on this car. The description of the reason for salvaging the car seemed a little strange:

"This car was VERY lightly damaged to the floor, it was driven over a rock that turned under the car. The driver's side aluminum floor was damaged in 7 spots, causing punctures in each spot, approximately 1" long in each spot. As a result of this damage, the car was salvaged, due to the state law, requiring the car to be salvaged for the unibody floor punctures."

If I was ready to pull the trigger, it passed a PPI, and for $96k, I would consider it. Not sure if I could get a loan for $60k balance after down payment on a salvaged car though.

Is $96k the new reserve? Seller was holding firm at $109.5k for a long time. At $96k that thing may actually sell. Auction typically ends in high $80k's to low $90k's.

No sir, that's just all the higher I'd be willing to bid on a salvaged CS.

Interesting. I offered him more than $96k for it about 7 months ago and he laughed me off the phone.

Is it me or does ninety six thousand dollars sounds too high for a salvage titled CS?

I have been going back and forth about this car since I saw and drove it.

I really didn't want a red car, and with no stories, clean title CS's dipping into the high 120's. That salvage title just seems like a curse.
