I tried making a thread in Florida without much success; all I got was one response that i'd be close to south beach. I'm going the 5th to the 13th of march w/ my mom to visit my grandparents in West Palm Beach, so I need stuff I can do on my own. I'm planning on renting a wave runner for a better portion of the time. Anyone have any ideas, I know there must be a ton of places to see cars, anything else?

Pick up a travel magazine or try finding things on the internet. Kinda hard when it is only one person though and no car.

No, we're renting. Also travel magazines don't tell you where the best place to spot exotics is.

If you get real bored, you can mow the grass at our lakehouse. There should be cold beer in the fridge...

Now drinking alone is the start of a serious problem.

Ok, wow. First off you've never had a beer. Second we are joking around. Lastly, hypothetically if I did mow someones lawn and they offered me a beer which will cool me off, it is only right to accept. Remember you don't have to drink to get drunk, you drink soda because you enjoy it as others drink beer because they enjoy it as well.

Now can we please quit hijacking my thread?

Are you kidding me? Aparantly no one has any comments about FL so this is the result. There isn't much to this thread, if anything now there is some life in it.

Oh and if no one says anything in the FL board, what makes you think someone will in the Tri State board? Besides most of the frequent tri state members are in CA right now.

In SOBE, (South Beach) there's plenty to do...Lincoln Road has lots of cafes, shops, restaurants, etc...great restaurants all over-China Grill, Touch, Nobu, etc...night clubs, Opium Garden, Crow Bar, Shark Bar....and the BEST BAR IN THE COUNTRY: Nikki Beach on Sunday nights at 8PM

No idea why people in the FL board didn't respond, but I figure the tri state guys know whats going on everywhere and they'll be home soon enough to read this thread and give me some ideas. Also I posted this thread at 10:00 tonight and wasn't expecting too many people to be up to read it and respond.

Anyone have an idea of how much it is to rent a jet ski for a few hours and which local beach I can do it at?

Just moved up from Florida, so I can give you a few ideas.
Being 19, your bar/club options are limited. Lincoln road is fun even if you're underage and so is cruising down the south beach strip area.

If you're willing to drive a bit, you can take an airboat ride in the Everglades or see some of the closer key's (Key Largo, specifically). Without a doubt, the beaches all up and down the east coast of Florida are nice. You can rent a jet ski at basically any popular beach down there - although you'll probably be bored with it before 2 hours :)

If you haven't before, get some Cuban food at a rundown little place in Miami. You won't be disappointed.

You're the first one, and given not everyone is back yet I don't expect serious responses yet. Just put this thread out there b/c it was on my mind and figured I'd get it done. I also expect it more from them, than you.

Now guys, serious responses. If you want to include a joke along w/ it that's fine.

Okay Okay I understand. Here is my serious response:

Unfortunately you are 19, (as well as I), so there is not much you can do unless you have a car and are outgoing or go on a trip like this with a group of friends.

Now for my joke: Deal with it and STFU. :D

    Happy?
