I will post this on several forums to get a general idea of what this car is worth. If you were looking for a Gallardo, what would you pay for this car?

    Make: Lamborghini
    Model: Gallardo
    VIN: ZHWGU11S45LA02178
    Color: Orange
    Year: 2005
    Mileage: 28k
    Paint: Excellent
    Interior: Above average, very nice
Wheels: Powder coated black factory rims

The car was recently involved in a front end collision. The repair required a new front fascia and hood. The repair cost was $42,000. The work was done at Eveland Brothers in Kansas City. The repair and paint work = flawless and no evidence of a repair.

One of the eGear hoses recently failed. The hose was not replaced but “repaired”. All six eGear hoses are laying on the catalytic converter within the fire sheath. If one has already failed, how long before the next one melts?

-The front lip spoiler needs to be replaced.
-The rear diffuser needs to be replaced.
-The side and rear engine covers are cracked and need to be replaced.
-There is a random check engine light (most likely the cross over tubes).
-The clutch and throw out bearing need to be replaced.
-The front rotors are warped. It will need a full brake job.
-All of the fluids will need to be replaced.
-The rims were completely powder coated including the inside mating surfaces. To get a rim off the car requires a big dead blow hammer.

Factor in all the needed repairs and the damage history, I don’t want to come near the price of a car ready to go.

For that car? I wouldn't pay a damn cent for it! I'd avoid it like the plague!

Now if you owned your own performance/car shop, that car might be worth considering as a project car...fix it up, TT it, and you're good to go!

    Thanks guys.

...I offered $50k last week. The bank said no and is sending the car to auction. Some poor fool will over bid not knowing the history.

For the price you offered and the repairs, aren't you getting damn near the price of a clean no stories 04-05 G? Certainly not enough of a delta to assume that multitude of headaches.

Assuming the title is not salvage, I think you were right on offering $50k. To my knowledge, EGear hoses are not a significant amount of money. Fix the clutch and brakes and you have a mechanically sound car that you can drive around as a beater and put tons of miles on for 60 some grand. The reality is, many of the cheaper G's out there need some kind of work, you just happened to disclose everything this particular car needs.

Personally, I would spend the extra money for a nicer car, but if you could get it anywhere near your initial offer, I think you would be okay.

That's a good one. My friend was once looking for a Riviera with "lots of low miles"

Nice ones are a "dime a dozen" stay away!

I agree with Jim, $30K is maybe a good number but it's probably just the "entry fee".

"This is a very rare and unique Lamborghini Gallardo 2005 in excellent conditions, with only 29,090 miles, E- Gear, Lamborghini Paint Protector, Black leather seats with Orange pipping, 19" alloy Wheels, All Wheel Drive with a Super Powerful 10 Cylinder 520 Horsepower, this vehicle has being GARAGE KEPT AT ALL TIMES, not a dent or scratch, miles are 100% Original, vehicle has never being engine abused or race at a high speed if you are interested please call Sebastian at 786-897-5664. I can arrange towing trucks for vehicle delivered and we could also shipped the vehicle out of the country once paid in full... "

How do they know all of this? They just bought the car. Not a scratch? Look at my long list of items that the car needs. Garage Kept? Yea right. We drove the car home in the snow from World of Wheels. Never raced at high speed...yea right!!

These buyers need to learn about Google.com and put in VIN numbers before they buy. You can learn a lot about a car's history from forums just like this.

Call or email them and bring it to their attention, maybe even link them to this thread. See how reputable the dealer is, might be worth knowing to someone here in the future.

Sounds like the PO had some fun tossing this one around :) Are you confident that it is NOT a theft recovery vehicle ?

    They don't, of course.

Remember, even though they are selling a Lambo, instead of Fords, they are still USED CAR SALESMEN ----- standard boilerplate crap that they say about all the cars they sell --- it's in their job description to say such things ;)

The Seller knows all about this. I hope others post his professional eBay replies they have received.

I started this thread because I was thinking about buying that Gallardo locally. I knew the history of the car and made an offer.

    To whom concern,

I have researched the info about the so called front end collision and Eveland Brother Body Shop does not exist.

I personally drove 200 miles to view the car. Only the hood was repainted nothing else. The engine compartment covers are not cracked they even had a pre sale inspection done by a lambo dealer and only item found was that clutch would need to replaced in 4-5k.

If you do know that the repairs were done do you have a name and number to the body shop

other than that Mr Mulligan and his staff are professional and polite.. they run a real operation

I made Dan Mulligan aware of this forum and he would love to talk to anyone that has negative information about this vehicle. With his permission this is his cell number 305-495-3900

Eveland Brothers is the most respected body shop in Kansas City. You can contact Eveland Bros. Collision Repair Center by phone, fax, or email:

    913-262-6050
    Fax 913-262-6077
    [email protected]

    www.evelandbrothers.com Ask for Mark Eveland.

Eveland does incredible work; I am not surprised you could not tell that it had significant repairs. Oh by the way, the hood was not just repainted, it was replaced.

What Lambo dealer did the PPI?

You must have done the PPI after Commerce Bank repossessed the car out of a local independent shop (not a Lambo dealer) when the owner could not pay the bill.

I did my research on this car; this car is very well documented.

FYI there are a lot of pictures of this car available.
