G'day all. I've had this picture for awhile now. Not sure exactly what F car it is. Appears to have bits of 355 (clear indicators), F50 (front grille) and F512M on it.. What model is it, have any mods been done to the front bar of this car and are there any more pics? Is it just a 512M with a changed front bar?? I think my knowledge of Ferrari's is pretty good but I'm not sure what it is Attached is a pic with the car, it's behind the 355 (I need to subscribe, so I'll just have to post the link) http://img260.imageshack.us/img260/8623/pmfc200001vo9.jpg
Here's another pic. Driven by Alan Cosby in Goodyear Maranello Challenge 1998. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Thanks for clearing that up, the web is a wonderful resource isn't it? Do they still have the Ferrari Challenge race's with street cars?
I do not believe that is FC, rather the same league Will races his 512 race car in. (Later Historics?)
Pretty much both...either older model CH cars (348, 355, maybe they let 360s now too) and preped 308s/512TRs/etc. No vintages though.
This is where I found the info about the series. Yes, there are different classes. http://www.ferrariownersclub.co.uk/events/review/index.asp BTW, your first pic was taken in the Pirelli Maranello Ferrari Challenge; Round4 : Donington: 6 May 2000. http://www.ferrariownersclub.co.uk/events/maranello_2000/round_4/index.html
Thanks for that cool little find there. It's really good to see an F50 being raced with other cars. I'd be ever so scared it might be hit, but i guess it's made to be used, and can be repaired so long as the damage is not too bad. Are there any more F50's that have been raced amongst other cars?
They have two classes in the Uk, the Open class with highly modified cars such as this F512m and the Classic Challenge which you can use road cars. I see this car racing today at Snetterton here in the Uk, I will post some pics up shortly
