I think it is an isofix bracket. I guess if you have the seats with a gap for 5 point harnesses it would actually be useful
Child seat anchor point as stated. I didn't even know it existed until after I bought my car. I was bummed thinking it was some dump option that I could have avoided because I think it breaks up the nice rear shelf. However, I believe it standard on all cars and a requirement. I think new cars hide them in between the bottom and top part of the seat.
Our 2014 spider does not have it either. Our 2007 430 spider has a keyed passenger airbag disable switch which is nice. I wish the newer models would accommodate child seats.
My '13 Spider does not have this. Makes sense only Italia's have it; seems to me you wouldn't want folding roof panels going up and down when little baby hands may get crushed.
