    Looks like a forward view camera - possible radio with parking assist - aftermarket ???

    Agreed. That’s a camera. And it look like it’s molded in because it’s screwed into the stock tow hook mount.

    Aaaahhh - that’s the tow hook mount - that makes sense! :)

    I keep pulling useless wire out of this car - now I have to track this one down. Car does have an aftermarket stereo head, but not one with a camera.

    It’s definitely a camera

    When you get the camera removed, take the time and run a tap into the threads of the tow hook, then try fitting the tow hook. After all these years the threads oxidise and the tow hook will not screw in. Its a metric fine thread by theway
