It's a speedometer for US 308, circa late 70's early 80's - I'm not sure exactly when. Back in the day, in the US there was a 55 mph speed limit on the interstates, so most of the cars sold here had 85 mph speedometers. My parents cars' from 1979, 1985, and 1991 all these 85 mph speedometers

The 85mph speedo wasn't something the manufacturers thought was a good idea, it was something the US governement thought was a good idea, so you'll find it as original equipment in all USA market vehicles from the time. I think it was for the 1980 and 1981 model years only. My 1980 Moto Guzzi has the 85mph speedo. Surprisingly someone at the US Gubmint decided it was lame and it was dropped. I find that really amazing.
