What’s up guys, finally got around to putting up some pics of my 1987 ride. Purchased it 7 months ago and have been clocking a couple hundred miles on it a month. Did some mod’s to the interior and engine bay. Been hanging out with f-chatters at VCR here in Cali and ripping up the Malibu hills with the big boys. Looking forward to meeting all the 3x8 guys out there and contributing to f-chat. Enjoy the pics.

    i think that's the same 328 I saw at Eugenio's a couple month's ago

didn't he fix your oil leak (oil pan) or something like that

i thought your 328 was one of the cleanest i'd seen

    congrats

Lee, love the car. You told me it was clean (all the owners say that!) but I had no idea. The Motovanti intake tube looks outstanding. Did you use the clamps I sent or get the 'turbo pressure' ones? (Of course, pressure not being the problem; 'perfectionism' is the problem! Or not. Discuss.)

    The detailing is superb nonetheless.

A friend of mine called me yesterday with a 'surprise'. He'd been TALKING about getting a Ferrari for a bunch of years (like 10) and when I went to his house, lo and behold, a red 2002 360 coupe with 3,400 miles was sitting in his overly pristine garage. (Mine has 'stuff' in it. His is so sanitary I thought I should be shoeless.)

He told me - and I thought this was interesting enough to share - that he was 'torn' between a perfect 328 and the 360. Nothing in between. Yes, we all know the price differential and that was clearly not a concern for him. Even the dealer he bought it from (Tonkin) told him that the 360 was clearly the superior ride/performance/convenient choice, but the 328 had "everything else" going for it, i.e. a "classic", a beauty, instantaneous recognition, decent enough driveability/reliability and of course price point entry level.

We agreed while looking at the 360, that the visible engine was a delight and after seeing your beautiful engine bay, you almost wish more could share that view. A skylight on your engine lid perhaps?

So, thanks for sharing the photos. I'm putting more Motovanti's on ebay this weekend unless an F-chatter wants to contact me prior to that.

Thanks to all. Keep the enthusiasm going. You all make me want another 328!

Hey guys, thanks for all the nice compliments. I had been reading fchat since "04" and finally made my purchase 7 months ago. Yes, Eugenio fixed an oil leek for me and has not dropped any oil despite the fact I drive my car pretty hard with you f-chatters through the hills. I have to keep up with you fast guys. The Motovanti intake was one of the first mods i made to the car and used the clamps that was supplied. Love the look and performance.

Hey Gatorrari, thanks for the props! Ironically, The pic of your car was one of my inspiration pics I had on my computer when looking for my 328. See you guys at VCR and at the Rose Bowl on Sat.
