Every time that I happen to tune across Entertainment Tonight, they are CONSTANTLY talking about, harping about, and hyping up the LONG dead story about Anna Nicole Smith. EVERY one of their shows for the past 2 months has been obsessed with the Anna story. Anna's death, Anna's son's death, Anna's baby, Anna's babysitter, Anna's lawyer, Anna's boyfriend, Anna's dog, Anna's lawyer's dog, Anna's landlord's dog, etc, etc, to the point of absolute absurdity. I can't believe that Mary Hart can stand up in front of the camera with a straight face and continue to beat this story like a dead horse headed for the glue factory. The rest of the tabloid world has long since moved on to Imus, then the Virginia Tech shootings, and now back on to Paris Hilton going to jail. Yet ET thinks that we still need MORE coverage of Anna Nicole's former world.

Just how much money does ET have tied up in the Anna Nicole story that they have to continue their obsession with this now "long in the tooth" circus? Does Paramount have some vested interest in the story? Is that why they keep beating the dead horse?

Memo to ET: NOBODY cares. Time to move on.

NBC is trying to get their moneys worth, sad thing is nothing is new and even if it was who would care at this point?

I think several of the networks are trying to film movies quickly so maybe they are trying to keep the story alive. They act like A) it happened yesterday, and B) people still care.

I think they spent a lot of money to get exclusives on it. When she first died, they had an interview with her "best girlfriend" aboard the private jet that ET chartered to get her to the Bahamas. And if you saw any of the interviews during the whole hullabaloo, you noticed that they had unusually close access to one of the guys, either Howie or the day, I forget which.
