So this girl I am seeing asked me this question, I said I don't know the real reason, attention maybe?

Just curious why, I don't see Ford Gt owners leaving the doors up or Enzo owners is it a Lambo thing?

Well I have never seen a Ford GT with vertical doors. I guess I need to read more Car and Driver magazines.

    Because they can!

If im not mistaken Enzo has gullwing style and the Lambo's have the scissor style. I bet more often then not people smash their heads walking by an Enzo then a Lambo

    probably 2 reasons,

1: to drop the cabin temp down a bit (especialy on Countach's)
2: so that people can see in them (or the owners ;))

Having said that reason 3 has to be: because they look cool!

Whats the deal with ferraris always being bright red with tan interior? Whats the deal with the Saleen S7 leaving its doors open?.

Its just a trademark Its not really a lambo unless the doors are up.

i do leave my doors up sometimes but its more cause im lazy. haa. For example if i'm getting gas, i would get out of the car and leave the door up just cause it seems dumb to close it when about to get back in. Other than that i dont think i actually leave them up for no reason. Oh wait I have left them up at shows, that's more because people ask me to see it.

Lambo owners and Delorean owners have this incommon it seems.

truth be told..because the doors don't open like a normal car, you can leave them open safely without fear of sombody smashing into them. i do it all the time at gas stations, in the shop etc. I figure the less you have to open and close them, the less door latch adjusting you have to do!

On the Countach..I think the doors were designed to open this way becuase of the crappy A/C. They allow you to open the door fully at intersections to get some sort of freash cool(er) air in the cabin..I guess they weren't just for show after all! ;)

This phenomenon has been pondered by many a wise mind over the ages.

Recently saw 2 of them parked side by side at a carwash with their doors up. Wish I had my camera - looked great!

If Ferraris could get 'em up, they'd park that way too :)
