Came across this 1995 456 GTA for sale in Danbury CT. Look at the interior photos. Isnt the shift gate wrong? I thought all GTA shifters were in a straight line, but this appears to be a saw tooth shift pattern. That does not look right to me. You? I'm thinking they replaced the original transmission? The location of the shifter in the console looks wrong also.

I had thought GTA model was built from 1996. Good point though; is this a conversion from a GT to a GTA? That could be scary.

I cant open the photos of the Sultans car here on my iPad. Does it look like the same car that is currently sitting at a Ford dealership in Connecticut??! Not where you'd expect the Sultans's car to end up at. Unbelievable.

In one of Basman007's lists, he has a 456 that looks just like this.. He states that it was a Prince Jefri car when he lived in L.A. supposedly has MB tran and some other changes from PF.. maybe one of the Brunei experts can chime in..

Hi All..I just bought the 456 at Colonial Ford in Danbury CT.(of all places)...will pick it up tomorrow morning...it passed a PPI with a few small issues...none unexpected....windows... warped passenger air bag cover...slightly shrunken dash cover...otherwise all seems pretty good...has a complete and recent service history at a reputable F/shop

all the paper work with the car indicates that it was indeed a Sulton of Brunei car used as a courtesy car at the Beverly Hills Hotel which they owned at the time. The car was originally a manual which was converted to automatic when new. Bare body repaint from Red to Black with dark gray interior

My major question is...does anyone know what model tranny was used and what tranny fluid should go in there? Any help would be much appreciated. I'll keep you up to date as things progress...wish me luck....Marc

From what I understand the Tranny was an M-B that Porsche used in their 928. Find the model number for the 928 and you'll have your answer. There might be a potential problem in that the 928 had 345?HP or close and your car has 442HP - sending you a pm.
