I posted this thread topic on RL, for those of you over there too :)

the other day I was scrolling through the trip computer and saw my average speed was 26 mph. my 997 is a daily driver in west LA, I rarely get on the highway, and spend a lot of time sitting in traffic/at lights, etc. so while 26 mph is depressing, it seems to be accurate :(

    so...what's your average speed?

What's a trip computer? Will it tell you your average MPG during the 26mph?

MPG in my 05 Boxster S is 20.3 currently.

Speed is typically in the mid to upper 20's. Traffic light to light and sitting waiting for green can really bring the avg speed down.

    impressive! where was that?

    (allegedly) ;)

I got my 6-GT3 up to 165 before I backed off going up a hill....

on the other side of the hill was a State Trooper....

    *heart stopped*

Well allegedly I did that in my driveway... I have a real long one (driveway).

165 is a good speed Guy, but I reserve that for 5th gear (which will take me to 180 +/-).

    43 MPH at 13.9 MPG in my 2010 GT3.

Never had it above 165 yet, though I do enjoy hitting 85 in second and 115 in third...
