It’d be unprofessional to sell it at secondary pricing, I couldn’t part with mine but it’s definitely hype juice

Blade & Bow -- it's good stuff (not unlike Pappy) and a great buy at $65.

Sorry for resurrecting an old thread but this is insane. I remember buying the red label Black Maple Hill for $35 a bottle and it was my go-to. Then it was revealed that it was a Julian Van Winkle side project and it pretty much disappeared. Sotheby's just auctioned some:

$1,500.00 + auction fees for the same stuff: https://www.sothebys.com/en/buy/auction/2022/american-muscle-rare-whiskey-bourbon-rye/black-maple-hill-small-batch-bourbon-95-proof-nv-1-7

$3,000.00 + auction fees for the black label: https://www.sothebys.com/en/buy/auction/2022/american-muscle-rare-whiskey-bourbon-rye/black-maple-hill-small-batch-bourbon-16-year-old-10
    $3,750 + auction fees : https://www.sothebys.com/en/buy/auction/2022/american-muscle-rare-whiskey-bourbon-rye/black-maple-hill-small-batch-bourbon-16-year-old wish I tried it when it was $70...

    $4,375 + auction fees for the 23 year https://www.sothebys.com/en/buy/auction/2022/american-muscle-rare-whiskey-bourbon-rye/black-maple-hill-single-barrel-rye-23-year-old-95-4

wish I tried it when it was $140...

$12,000 + auction fees for the 15 year single barrel https://www.sothebys.com/en/buy/auction/2022/american-muscle-rare-whiskey-bourbon-rye/black-maple-hill-single-barrel-rye-15-year-old-98 insane...

Was the Buffalo Trace experimental peated bourbon ever released?

All time favorite of what I've tried is William Larue Weller. I believe it was the 2020 batch. Honorable mention to the George T Stagg from the 2020 batch as well.

My typical daily / weekly pour is Four Roses Small Batch Select.

Other favorites include Smoke Wagon Uncut Unfiltered, Stagg Jr, EH Taylor Small Batch, Weller CYPB, and Eagle Rare.

While it isn't a bourbon, I'm also a big fan of the Angels Envy Finished Rye.

That’s bonkers. These prices are mind-blowing. I also remember the good old days.
For what it’s worth, the “new” BMH is a far cry from the original.

It's no longer done by Van Winkle...

It was a fine product for $35.
