I'm trying to find a new coffee for my office coffee maker, but I have no idea what to try next, I have been trying several different brands but haven't liked any of them, I'm looking for a SMOOTH, bold (not bitter) everyday cheap coffee, and where to order it from.

Right now I'm drinking a chicory coffee from New Orleans. I like it alot, but getting tired of it.

Right now I'm drinking Starbuck's French Roast. Not exactly cheap, but not expensive, either. I also like Cafe Britt Dark Roast http://www.cafebritt.com/ .

Most stores sell the Millstone line of beans. I do up 50% of Espresso Roast and 50% Dark Roast decaf and grind at the FINE setting, two clicks below Turkish. I make is quite strong and it's great!

I go to the WinnDixie and buy 15 pounds at a time (in the bricks) along with a years worth of paper filters (for the office).

I don't think they have fancy coffee at the Winn Dixie.

Locally here in the Bay Area we have Pete's coffee that roasts their own...I have become addicted to their Mocha Java Sanani...I buy the beans and have an Italian peculator to make Americano in the AM and espresso in the afternoon. Absolutely great aroma, body with Taste great with magnificent finish. By the way, I have tried the best of Kona, and Jamaican Blue Mountain just to name a couple, I personally don't think there is better one for the price than Sanani.

Just a starting point. Some of those people on Coffee Geek aren't running on all 8 cylinders though. If you could get a decent conical burr grinder, a Bodum french press and some Sumatran or Kenyan AA you'll be set.

Coffee for me, is a once in a while occassion. After leaving the high paced silicon valley industry, the addiction went as well and I detoxed painfully. I feel much better since leaving the morning pick-me-up routine.

However! I do enjoy a great tasting cup or two, here's what does it for me:

Gloria Jean's - German Chocolate Cake Flavor
