The color combo plays a big part for me. I'm generally meh on silver/gray sports cars, but i saw a Silver 348 with red interior that was drop dead gorgeous.

Black for me is a hard one. Applied and cared for meticulously it can be gorgeous, but a little orange peel or defects make it look terrible.

I'm a sucker for white cars with black leather. FoD had a 458 in that combo and its smashing.

Rubino and TDF are beautiful no doubt but at FoW (I was there from 2005-2009) we had a 348 Spyder that was a deep and complex Factory PPG Purple that was just mesmerizing. Never seen its like and whomever owns it now better appreciate.

And I voted yellow, as it works on all of them.

I had a red F355 GTS and a red 360 Spider (both rosso corsa). There is nothing like owning a red Ferrari. Every Fcar owner should have at least one red one IMVHO.

Interesting results so far, and I must say, I'm a bit suprised.

Difficult to argue since I've never owned a red one. But I feel like it's the last color I would get in most Fcars. With the 308/328 being a definite exception. Maybe I just like trying to be different. hah.

I'm also surprised to see such a strong showing from blue. Every time I see one I like it.

All three variations of Rosso Corsa: 300/9, 300/12, and 322. Subtle differences, but all are very nice. :)

You're missing the best of the bunch. 300/6. A 308 in Glasurit 300/6 is as good as Rosso Corsa gets.

I voted blue, although black/black metallic is a close second. The 360/F430 are pretty big cars with a lot of metal over the rear well openings, and the darker colors help conceal that.

The 355 also looks good in red or yellow, probably because it is a compact car.

(And, though they aren't part of this thread, the 308/328 are basically just low exotic slivers on the road, so work in any color, IMHO.)

Rosso Corsa 300/6 is nice as well as Rosso Chiaro. I thought that the 300/6 ended in the late 80's. The 512TR and F40 I believe are 300/9 or at least the ones that I have seen are. Rosso Chiaro was late 70's and maybe very early 80's.

Not in the cars I'm interested in which are typically low production.
For example a 996GT2 or 360CS. I'll take mileage and price over color any day. Beggars cant be choosers and neither of these two had a bad color.

My first car was a used tan MGBGT. Yuck ! (I painted it red with a wagner power painter, Yuck part 2 )
    So probably no tan cars.

As a mechanic 30 years ago I bought a used 911 in yellow thousands below market and daily drove it 4 or 5 years. That color grew on me to the point where I would prefer yellow over red.

No surprises here red is winning after 100+ votes.

To me red can never be equalled but yellow is also great.

TDF over Cuoio on a 355 is hands down the best for that car.

For a 360/430, Rosso Rubino rates very high, but Grigio Silverstone over Bordeaux or black takes the prize. There is a reason the initial press release photos of the 430 were of a Silverstone car.

Honorable mention has to go to a 360 in Grigio Alloy. Looks almost a pale blue in person. Very striking.

Red would be my first choice, but I have to say as the owner of a metallic black car that it really stands out in a very subdued kind of cool way....

I like black cars, however on cars that lots of curves or details (like the side inlets on the 355), shadows show off some of these details and something is lost when these effects aren't as noticeable in black.

Black when it's clean and freshly detailed is gorgeous! Red is classic on a Ferrari. I also really like Giallo. Hard to say which is best. One thing for sure a recently detailed Ferrari of any color is surely a looker by all means :)
