    The wife is heading over to Honolulu tomorrow for a week and a half of relaxation. Just for the fun of it I looked up the wx on NOAA. What's going on? It says winds to 50mph and rain every day. Is it really that bad and how long will it last?

    Jim - NOAA is correct about the wind. I haven't experienced wind this strong in many years, but those are only occasional gusts. The wind is supposed to calm down today or tomorrow, but that will take it into the 20mph category. It has been raining quite a bit as of late, but it was relatively nice today. We have intermittent showers in the Waikiki area. This is our version of winter.
