Is there a place in Nashville, Tn. that can do a wheel alignment on a 360? The steering wheel is a little off center and I think it might be corrected with an alignment. It is such a hassle to take it to Atlanta for just this.

If the car tracks fine and just the steering wheel is off, you maay have trouble getting an aligment shop to correct this unless you specifically ask for it. The alignment machine only accounts for the relationship between each of the wheels and frame and does not take steering wheel position into consideration. After two trips to the alignment shop I fixed mine myself. You simply adjust tie rod ends and if you count turns precisely it will not effect alingment. If you move drivers side tie rod end out 1/2 turn you must move passenger side in 1/2 turn. I got my steering wheel centered after about 4 attempts. Tie rod ends only effect toe-in/toe-out and there are a number of ways you can check that without an alignment machine. Do an internet search.

I have two aluminum plates that I bought from Longacre Racing. But before that i used two strings that I would align with center of vehicle then you can measure from the string to the outside edge of the rims. I often align the wheels on my race car this way.

Thanks, man. This is good info. The car tracks beautifully. It's just the wheel.
