There have been many past forums discussions on wheel and tire sizes. Many opinions which stray the thread away from result focused conversation. So let’s start it again!

    1) Everyone seems to agree 235/35/19 front will reduce understeer.
    A) However, anyone concerned that it will affect ABS or traction control due to wheel RPM change compared to rear wheels?
    B) If front circumference changes the car the rear should be matched which means 295/35/19. Is my math right?

    2) There is debate on 295/35/19 vs 295/30/19 vs 285/35/19.
    A) Firstly, 295 is normally considered too wide for a 10” wheel. 285 is said to be max. Thoughts?
    B) Secondly, 295/35 seems to be the same circumference increase as 235/35 compared to factory sizes and therefore 295/35 and 235/35 is seemingly better than 295/30 and 235/35 in regards to traction control and ABS working properly. Thoughts?

    3) Why screw with any of this and just not stick with stock?
-Traction! And I can’t afford new wider wheels yet...
-Modern Potenza 71Rs May be fine in the front as 225s. I’m still researching if they’re safe in 45 degree F weather for Fall nights. Michelin Pilot Sport 4S is my next choice.

    Fun stuff!
