hatch really does wheels? or do they just farm them out?

apparently FoNE et. al. use RIMPRO up in Tewksbury.

    http://www.rimpro.com/

i've never used them myself, but if they are in fact FoNE's supplier, then two of my 550's wheels were done there and they look totally new/stock.

Ya they do work on them there. no farm out. They've not had luck sending them out.

I'll contact rimpro. Thanks for tip.

I also had a wheel sent out for the black 360 via FoNE and it came back good as new. Circa 250$ I seem to remember the price being. I have to admit to doing precisely zero shopping around :)

Apparently, Hatch has had problems sending out painted wheels. And they'll only refinish those. John T at IFS had a 355 wheel done for a customer there for about 2 bills. The wheels I'm looking at having done are polished. I've contacted and emailed pics to rimpro and it seems they can get them to a like new condition. Being a polished 3 peice the price is closer to 3 bills.

Deal gone dead. Chris at Rimpro called after having his 'master refinisher' look at the high res pics I sent, they determined that the wheels couldn't be restored to what would be worthy of putting on an F-car. The gold center section is anodized and there's no cost effective way to bring that back.
    Oh well...

Thanks but I pulled out of the deal. If Rimpro tells me to pass on them and they themselves turn away a $1200+ job then I'll heed their advice.

Doody...thx again for hooking me up with them.

If interested pics can be found in this thread http://ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?t=14092

I would definately reccomend RimPro. They are the best in the region. We have had great results from them with many wheels including HRE, SSR, BMW, Mercedes, BBS, etc. On the oppistie end of the spectrum, we have had some clients come in with wheels from Rim and Wheel Works in Newton that were absolute hackjobs (RimPro ended up fixing them).

Yikes!!! Sorry about the bad advice. I guess that's why you guys are here - to straighten out us neophytes.
