    Well did what I'm always careful not to do and that is to scrape ever so slightly the rear wheel rim on a kerb. I'm presuming that there is nothing particularly special about the f40 original wheels that makes them irreparable is there? I am hoping that filling and lacquering will do the trick like I have done in the past on my CS. Any tips anyone?

    Not sure, but a couple of mine need some attention so quite interested to know how you get on. Couple of minor and tiny scuffs to outer edge on mine. However, assuming your wheels have never been refurbished and you are keen to keep them original just be careful that the repair does not remove the laser cut 'speedline label' as I am not aware of anyone being able to replace this yet...

    BTW - Just had my car back from Maranello for the suspension recall - Alex did you receive an invoice noting the work? The only invoice I recived noted the car's transportation!

    Not so Graham. Ferrari never write down details of recalls or warranty work done. This also applied to any work done under warranty on my CS.
