I have been looking for a decent set of rims for my 550, that looked "factory", without a lot of success.
I decided to try H&R wheel spacers with the factory rims, because I like the standard design, just not the way the rear wheels look rediculously undersized.
I have 15mm spacers for the front (not installed in these pics) and 30mm spacers on the rear. I was concerned there may be clearance issues on the rear, particularly as my car is lowered, but I needn't have worried as there is room to spare, even with the 30mm spacers!

Did you get an alignment done afterward by chance?

Not yet, waiting to change tires, funnily enough had it aligned just before spacers were installed.

Stephen, Are you sure they are H&R as our distibutor stated they only make 15 mm for the Ferrari. Also, now that you have 30mm in the rear are you happy with that size or would 25 mm work better.

Car looks superb - love the lowered look. Did you contemplate the 575M rims?

I think 575 wheels would be the finishing touch, so to speak. I ordered a set of 19" BBS LM's to replace the stock rims and have a set of 18" Simmons 3 piece wheels with Corsas for the track.

Good timing on the post. Your car looks great. I am putting on the spacers on shortly. They came w/out the longer bolts which delayed things about a week. I didn't know that you would have to realign the car due to the spacers, just if you lowered it. Am I incorrect on that one? I understand that Brembo has the F50 brakes that you can put on which keeps the parking brake. Any feedback on that set up? Stebro and Tubi on now, BMC filters go on later today. Any source for a larger rear sway bar? The one on there looks puny.

The larger rear bar is the factory Fiorano unit, when ordering don't forget the bushes, 75% stiffer than stock. You don't need an alignment after putting the spacers on, but it is worth checking if it hasn't been done in a while.
As to the brake issue, I am now using Pagid RS19 pads (being replaced by RS29's) with SRF brake fluid. I am going to buy DBA5000 http://www.dba.com.au/dba_catalogue_2004/HTML/5000series/5000_index.htm disc rotors at $300AUD each and have aluminium hats made up to suit. The rear brakes are fine and don't need upgrading.

It was my understanding that if you change the track, (spacers) the geometry will change requiring an alignment.

For some strange reason we can only get the 15 mm from H&R. The 30s will have to come from Eibach.

I will get you the H&R part number for the kit. It bolts to the wheel and uses normal wheel bolts for the wheel to bolt to the car. The 30mm spacer kit is two 15mm spacers that require longer wheel bolts, which can be purchased as part of the kit. I buy the units wholesale thorugh my local distributor, which are shipped directly from H&R in Germany, kits come in box with instructions etc so there is no mistake on the supplier.
My car was aligned before wheel spacers, then re-aligned last weekend for a more agressive setup. There was no significant chage in the alignment numbers before and after wheel spacers, that would warrant a re-alignment IMO.

OK. So H&R doesn't really have a 30mm spacer but uses two 15s. That's way my tuner recommended Eibach who offers a one piece 30mm spacer.

Has any one had experience with the Move it brakes? I believe that they are located in Socal. What is the difference between the RS 19s and the RS29s? I believe that RS19s were used today when the floating hat rotors went on my GT3. Are the 29's more agressive? The 19=Black 29=Orange? Thanks for all the little tid bits of advice.

Drew: I don't think that's what he's saying. The H&R 30mm kit includes two 15mm spacers (one for each front wheel) and longer lug bolts. The 60mm kit includes two 30mm spacers. I believe Tom at Lucent has these kits on hand at the moment for installation on Richard's car.

    Correct
Check out the H&R web site for the DRA spacer kit, the one you want is the 60mm kit, 30mm per axle.
http://www.hrsprings.com/site/frames/frameproducts.html click on the link for the Track+ wheel spacers.

RS19's and 29's are yellow. The 29 is the replacement for the 19.

Spoke with Race Technologies, Lucent and Meridian. No 30 mm spacers from H&R for Ferrari.

I have the box, invoice and instructions on the chair beside me now, they are all full of it.
The 15mm spacers are part no 3035670/1 and are known as H&R 30mm DR Ferrari. (15mm per axle)
The 30mm spacers are part no. 6035670 and are known as H&R 60mm DRA System Ferrari (30mm per axle).
The long wheelbolts for the 15mm spacers are part no 3035 Bolts- Ferrari Chrome of which you will need 10.

25mm spacers (for the rear) is the most common size that we sell to the 550 owners.

My car is currently running 315 rear tyres on 3 piece rims for track work that stick out 10mm further than the standard rims, still no rubbing. The car has perfect balance with the 15mm front and 30mm rear spacers, so no I wouldn't want the 25mm spacers. I'll post a pic later.
