I am looking into putting on wheel spacers for the rear wheels of my Spider. I don't want the spacers to bring the tires out from the wheel well too far. Is 15mm spacers too much? If yes, could you post after pics?

Please let me know what you think???

If you do a search you'll find the average is 10-15mm up front, 20-25mm rear

What I would like to know is if anyone put them on a Spider. The track is wider on the Spider but I do feel a 10mm or a 15mm MIGHT be ok. I don't want the wheels comming past the fenders.

If you already have the late USA 94 rear rims on a 348, I would say that there is no need to put spacers on. What I would suggest is that if you are not sure what rear rims you have, just take out one of the lug bolts and measure under the head - if you have 55mm you have the standard rims on the car - if you have 80mm bolts you have the latter USA 94 rims. The above presumes that spacers are not already fitted to the car!!

    Hope that helps:)

That is for the 89-92 models...the 93' up came from the factory with 25mm spacers on the rear...There is no need for rear spacers on a spyder, unless somebody removed the OEM ones...You could go 15 mm on the front, if you were dead set on going wider in the rear you could go another 10-15mm max...My wheels are currently spaced 41mm out (which is 16mm farther then yours) but I had no choice since the stock 360 pushes the wheel that far out without spacers..

Yeah, the look really really good too...I just painted my car yellow and the wheels look fantastic against the yellow...with your car you will have to remove the rear spacers and change the wheel bolts from you current OEM 80mm wheel bolts to a 55mm wheel bolt which was used on the 89-92 348 (25mm less because no spacer). Fronts are a straight bolt on...I started a thread on this about a week or two ago if you need more info.

Heh, heh...after seeing the first Enzo prototype (built on a wider, longer 348 chassis), you *can't* get too wide!

Though the looks may suffer if you go too far.

The 94USA rims have a smaller offset (by 25mm) over the standard rims but the conical seating is in the same place hence the longer 80mm bolts - Just need to clarify this as the late Spider wheels will not have any spacers as standard - If you do have 80mm bolts and spacers on a 348, you have the standard rims with a through hole spacer.
