I know what our rims are 8" wide in front(can take 8.5 HGTE) and 10" in rear. What about bolt patterns, offsets, etc. How much do the stock wheels weight?
I'm thinking about getting set of aftermarkets and keep original pentas for resale in future.
Not crazy about Challenger wheels looks and hate HGTE looks even more than Pentas.

You can use GTO sizes: 9 1/2,285;11 1/2,315. Offsets 38 and 63. Some use even wider setups, like 295 and 335; I don't have full details on these.

So you can run significantly wider tires on 599s. What are some pros and cons ?

Yes. As Walt says above you can run the GTO sizes.

    Pros of wider tires:

1- More tire surface area gripping the road = more grip in the dry.

2- In this case the front tire width is closer to the rear tire width = reduced understeer/ increased over steer in some situations

3- Reduced braking distances (more grip up front)

    4- Wider tires look better

    Cons of wider tires:
1- More surface area = more area to hydroplane with / more water to evacuate = not as good in the wet (forget about the snow!).

2- Higher levels of grip = you're going faster when that grip runs out...

3- Increased possibility of tramlining/ tires trying to pull in the direction of the road crown.

4- Probably a reduced turning radius....

Thats all I can think of off the top of my head!

I think the GTO wheel sizes would look great and likely work great too.

Widest I've seen on a 599 was 10.5 inches front, 13 inches rear. The owner claimed zero rubbing and no fender work. He was running 295 wide tires up front, 345 in back.

Yes, sounds wide compared to the GTB but keep in mind the GTO has 285 tires in front.

I don't remember offhand. It was right around the time I bought my car, it was a car for sale and I was intrigued by the area under the fenders of these cars.

Just did a search online. While I didn't find the same car yet, I did find that Novitec's wheels are 10x21 in front and they install a 295 tire in front as well. So the fitment is doable, especially on a 20" wheel.
