It' s not everyday that you feel you made a difference. But last week me (328 GTS), Dantealfa (F430), TLKIZER660 (365 GT 2+2) and another 328 GTS owner think we did that just a little. By early spring we got in contact through Bernardo66 with a guy whose friend as been diagnosis with brain cancer. One of this man wish was to have ride in a Ferrari... Well we showed up with 4 of them. And he had a ride in all 3 models. We took along his two sons ans friends. We rode for 2 hours and stopping every once in a while so that him, his sons and his friends could feel the different Ferrari from the 60's, 80's and 2000's. When we arrived he could hardly swallow his tears, very emotionnal!... Well what else can I say, it was a "fell good" mission. Thanks to Bernardo66 for having us in contact with this man. Cheers to all and appreciate what you have. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
A very nice story, very unselfish of you all, and an excellent way to share your Ferraris. This certainly opposes the myth that all Ferrari owners are arrogant selfish pricks.
Bravo..! Magnisiemo...! Grazzi..! ( I once gave rides (1985 Mondial Cab.) at a Ronald McDonald in Dallas,, handed out Hot Wheels too (all Ferrari of course.) I still get all teared up, thinking about all those sick kids. Edwardo
We owners are all embassadors for the brand "Ferrari". You guys deserve a commendation for your service! Great job!
Very cool of you guys to do something like that! I'm pretty sure that they'll remember this experience for a very long time! Thanks for sharing!
Great Job guys. I took my friend for a ride in my 360 last Saturday. When we returned to his house, his neighbor (whom I was told was recently diagnosed with cancer and a poor prognosis) came out to check the car out. I found out that he was a car guy. I offered to take him for a ride and he jumped at the chance. We took it out on the expressway and I took it to 4th gear shifting at high RPMs. He loved it. When we returned his wife said that I made his day and he was a bit teary eyed. His wife took photos of him in front of the car. My friend sent me an email saying how much it meant to his neighbor but I replied that I think I got more out of it than his neighbor did. How blessed I feel to be able to own a Ferrari and be able to share it with others.
Hey François, Great new thread. Here are more pictures of the ride. I must say this will be a day I won't forget. http://www.flickr.com/photos/dantealfa/4635007955/ http://www.flickr.com/photos/dantealfa/4633127858/ http://www.flickr.com/photos/dantealfa/4635611978/ Dante
