Dear Comrades, The silence of the forum speaks volumes. Accordingly, each day I await the discordant blare of alacrity that summons the presence of the illustriously indomitable trilogy of oligarchical prestidigitation. Always their views are sagacioous and erudite - never vagarious or mendacious. Joe Sackey vaticinates the values of the behemothic F-40. With 410SA the voice of perspicacious tutelage with concinnity - but rarely evangelical but always frightfully pejorative. RufMD, himself the luculent apodictic solecismic proponent of meliorism, always metaphysically transcending with persifiage and thus proselytizing the prescient and occasionally fugacious - sometimes aleatory and perhaps apodeictic aspects of peroratation, in a wholly altruistic format thus to invoke a metonia to those of an ochlocractic quiddity. Perhaps they will return today. All good wishes from England to all those within our colony of The United States of America. With kind regards, 512 Tea Are
512, Using a choice of words that i fully admit would cause me to look up the dictionary, you have described three well known members of this site. I'm interested in how you would describe yourself........ Regards, Matthew
Dear Comrade Rev.ATARI, When I was at school, and whilst the passage of many years has elapsed, I do so well recollect how we boys were informed by our classics master, that "Taking to pieces is often the trade of those with the inability to construct" and that we should therefore proffer all help and assistance possible to any critic that we may meet. Accordingly, have you perchance considerd placing a post upon this sector of the forum? It is unlikely that you will meet with execrable comment, but should you receive a degree of excoriation or derision, then remember that most contributors are egalitarian by nature, terribly altruistic and understand that the Forum is a wonderfully eclectic cocktail that most enjoy - all the while understanding that we are all different and that there is a place for us all. All good wishes from England. With kind regards, 512 Tea Are
Are we ever going to go back to talking about the actual supercars, not the three millionaires drama?
Nope. Not unless a majority of the folks in here tell me, or the other mods, that you're tired of balderdash from this particular English gentleman. Play on, Dave
Dear Comrade 13yearold, The three gentleman to whom you allude, between them own a substantial stable of supercars to which many aspire and yet so few attain. Accordingly, without their formidable presence and dynamism there will be seemingly little to precipitate what it is that you desire. The three gentlemen - amongst one or two others, are the very catalysts of the Forum. And without them there is a resounding silence. Hence my thread imploring their return to these hallowed portals. With kind regards, 512 Tea Are
No different from everyday politics where the masses are led around by special interest groups with an end goal in mind. I for one have not paid enough attention to even make a judgement on who is right or wrong, who cares? There used to be very interesting posts in this section and I used to read it every morning, now it takes a half hour read to just see "who's on first". As the Super Cars are a passion of mine, I will step up and say put an end to this Cranial Rectal Inversion Syndrome and let it get back to folks discussing the Marque. Dave
Dear Comrade TexasMike, Why not place a post of the calibre of Joe Sackey, 410SA and RufMD thus that we may bask in the omniscient glory of all things Ferrari based upon your personal and long standing experiences rather than perceptions espoused upon no actual knowledge whatsoever. So please, don't be coy, let's all see an excellent thread or post thus that the balance of the cataclysmic event when these gentlemen became a little upset, may redress the pendulum that forevermore moves to extremes. Perhaps the quality will be such that their return will be imminent. With kind regards, 512 Tea Are
I asked to vote the Englishman off the island (ours, not his) the other day and reiterate that request now. The word troll comes to mind, regardless of what's in his garage. >8^) ER
I copied the text from the original post and tried this website: http://www.translatebritish.com/ It didn't seem to help any.
I for one thoroughly enjoy Graham's apparent knowledge (as I perceive it to be) and the manner in which he words his posts. And FWIW.......he is an owner after all.....and I do find some of his things humorous. To call him a troll is an insult IMHO.....as those who have trolled here in the past (and I have been here since 2000 and seen many) are no where near his caliber, intellect and humor level. Perhaps he is excentric......but many here are as well. People may not like his posts for some reason, and that is acceptable, not everyone likes mine either, and there are those who I do not like, but to categorize him in the same group as those who have come before him is totally wrong....as it to publicly complain to others about him IMHO.
So ownership has its privledges? Or, like rank, does it instead have its responsibilities. So he's a really well educated, highly vocabularied, um... what exactly? I count one troll reference. If we take Wikipedia as a source for the definition of troll, and why not, perhaps it can shed some light. Do some of Graham's posits here meet that definition? Well, I think they do. But of course, each and every one here is welcome to their own opinion, hence this discussion. Well, where else would one complain about another member on a forum than in a thread? Should we PM each other with little notes when we disagree with the behavior of someone here? (Been there, tried that.) I'm just sayin' there's room for discussion here, and perhaps a little restraint on the part of our British Ally and gentleman without compare.
I've been moderating and participating in various message forums for almost a decade and count myself as a fairly good judge. I made the referece to "troll" due to his persistence in antagonizing certain ill wills and/or differences of opinion held between other members. Some of what he posts borders on calling people out or simply attempting to spark an unsavory debate, seemingly only for amusement. That to me, qualifies quite plainly as a troll. Also as dm_n_stuff pointed out, much of what Graham posts would probably be fine in an off topic setting where such nonsense is expected. Personally I've grown tired of opening the Super Ferraris forum only to find more threads created by the Englishman that cling only vaguely to the focus of that forum. Often times threads he starts would be handled much better via PM. Frankly, I believe if the same behavior was occuring on a regular basis in the Vintage forum the outcry would be louder and the penalty felt more swiftly. >8^) ER
Dave..... We have a thread for this express purpose in the Silver section IIRC............that is what I meant by having a public discussion here versus posting in that thread. And since we are not discussing personalities in the said Silver section, but here, allow me to say that in the view of some members here, you are more of an annoyance than he is probably perceived to be.......fair enough ? Do you like that ? Get my point ?
Better update your history book Geeves. As far as I can remember, the Yanks sent your sorry asses packing back in 1776.
