We should get a list going of the ones that meant a lot to us. Larry Hagman is still alive, so I can't think of another off the bat. Anyone else wanna start?

Steve McQueen 11/7/1980. When you say "Movie Star", Steve McQueen is what you mean in the masculine. He was the coolest!

i think the funniest and most sobering thing is that when you look at filmographies or whatever of actors it usually lists them as "Actor Name, 1959-" with that trailing hyphen just waiting to be closed off for statistic's sake.

but now you've got Foo Fighters in my head...

    great song

Im sure Tom Sizemore had to be brought back to life a few times. That guy rocks. As stated in a skit on SNL featuring Sinatra, I bet Tommy craps out pieces bigger than Pitt, Hanks, Clooney, etc... come on, it took Robert DiNiro to drag his a** into rehab.

James Dean is defined by an early death (September 30th, 1955) and his image goes way beyond his work. Bogie himself said of Dean, " he died at the right time." Watch East of Eden and that performance makes all the modern work look like 5 year olds at a school play. But unless Dean married starlett Pier Angeli, the jury out on him being as cool as the player McQueen is still out. The thing is no one will never know everything about him and that could be good and bad...

Rodney Dangerfield never got any respect. And as the ultimate funny man, definitely should have never have passed. I don't think he knew that the respect he sought for was given back and paid for many times over in a lot of smiles and laughs. If he was alive, Im sure Rodney and Tom Sizemore would be at Heidi Fliess' kicking back a few cold ones and watching the scenery walk by the pool.
