january this year i purchsed 2 sets of hoosiers for $3600 ( not sure on the price but pretty close , my internet banking doesn't go back to jan to check the price ) , no problems , sent the $$$ and received the tyres , all good . i used 1 set for 2 kilometres on my turbo on the road , ( went down the road to test the car for mt buller hill climb , rims that were on the car had hoosiers on them , wasn't testing the tyres , just the car ). originally bought the tyres to go on my CS with 18 inch rims and spaces for the track , i never tried it . i advised the fchatter i didn't need the tyres at all and i thought he said i could return them " no problems " as he would use the rears and find someone for the fronts . i advised him at the time that 1 set was used for the 2 k's . i returned the tyres around may , could of been june but i think it was may . finally in august i asked nicely about payment . we talked backwards and forwards and on 1 occasion , he said he had sent the cheque and i should have received it . i never did . i thought why would someone BS to me on a cheque that was never sent , this would send alarm bells ringing in my head . we hadn't agreed on the price at this stage after the cheque was supposedly sent . i then asked him to EFT the $$$ . on several occasions there were reasons for the $$$ not coming through . on the 5th of sept i was told "accountant in , should be done " , it never happened . on the 7th of sept , i was told "receipt would be emailed in the morning ", it never happened . both messages are still in my phone , hence why i can name the date . i then asked for the $$$ again and i was told he never agreed to give me a full refund and that he would do his best to place the tyres . he then asked what i wanted for the tyres . i said 1 set was brand new $1800 and to take $100 off each tyre from the other set . they are only $450 each brand new ( i think ) so 22% off a new set of tyres that was used for 2 k's seemed fair . total i was asking was $3200 . he told me $2750 was the best he could do . i got upset but agreed to take $2750 . better to get some $$$ than none at all . i did say to return the set of tyres that was used , but in the same breath i thought this would lead to another saga of waiting for the tyres to arrive etc so i agreed on the $$$ offered . then you would notice on this thread how the payment dragged out . i was then given an email on the 13th of sept with 3 amounts to be credited over 3 days to my account . i was told the limit was $1000 per day from his account .$750 the first day then 2 payments of $1000 . i have only received $750 to date even though i was given a receipt of the transfers to take place . i rang him yesterday AM and all lines were down at his office and there was no way to look at why i wasn't paid . could he pay from home last night ???? . while we are going backwards and forwards , he wants to buy my CS and offered me a price on the spot ( pending a drive etc ) and wanted the car for the week-end . i said no way but would fly down for the day and let him drive the car while i was with him . now i'll only fly down if the ticket is paid for . what gets me is that if i am going to get f>cked over , just tell me up front and we can move on . this sent the cheque , got lost , will send today , couldn't because of this and that etc etc etc isn't my way to do things. i am successful in business because i don't f>ck anyone over . he could offer to return the tyres to me at my expense if it was that hard for him to find a home for them . why would i send the tyres down if there was a chance of no payment ? he has told me he got the tyres for wholesale price which means $2750 is even worse for me if he on sells some tyres . i haven't checked on the price for these tyres retail . i am not worried about only receiving $2750 , ( remember i have only received $750 so this post could cost me $2000 ) just getting the run around for no real reason makes me shake my head .i only state fact in this post , no BS . i feel if i was to wait for him to pay me , this would never happen . i txt'd him again last night and this morning to no response so far . stephens , please set the record straight and that i am over exaggerating for no reason . $2000 isn't the earth and i'm not losing sleep but i am confused . i will post again once i have received the other $2000 . EDIT : while i am typing this i got an email , looks like i will get paid on the 22nd ( $1500 ) and the 23rd ( $500 ) can't wait . no hard feelings thanks
