I see where some ppl are coming from but upto the point scud named names he could of resolved it and none of us would of been the wiser. Now that he has been named, its just natural to want to know what is up to a fellow "active" fchat member who contributes greatly to the forums. hmmmmmmm..... well. if it hadn't been for Fchat, Scud and stephens may never have known each other and this would never have happened... so, if other fchatters decide to interact either commercially or socially, there may be a lesson here... that we don't assume anything from "forum" face value. People in positions of apparent credibility, power and authority don't always get there on merit. It all depends on who you ask, what you know and of course... facts. Some people distort facts, some fabricate entire fictional stories, some speak the truth and are ignored... somewhere lies the real truth.
Yes, but I'm not sure how that relates to my stance on this issue? Scud had an issue with Stephens and chose to pursue it on F-Chat... fair enough; that's Scud's prerogative. However, my post is in reference to any further discussion pertaining specifically to Stephens' personal financial affairs. That, in my opinion, is an absolute no go. As (I think) Moretti said, that is akin to asking 'how much money do you have in the bank', or 'how much do you earn'. That is, to put it mildly, no else's business.
i agree here as a last resort which seemed most necessary...bringing the issue into the public light is something i can sympathise with but it certainly should develop into a gossip session regarding specific details of the issue and the financial situation of parties involved. the desired effect was obviously to bring the issue to public awareness,, which it did, but it doesnt need to get any more detailed than that
An interesting thread... It becomes an awkward situation, whether you should keep asking for the $$ and feeling bad for having done so, even though it is something that is due and payable. It is probably the reason stephens has not been posting since 2/9 as well, whereas in the past he has been all over the place, trimming the hedges as it were. Isnt there an old saying somewhere about not doing business with family or friends? Do you at least know whether the tyres were on-sold Scud, can you get them back if you wanted to?

I deleted the other thread as I had asked Rog to wait until they had settled this privately. I fully understand why he has done this and will leave this thread open for another week to allow Stephens to reply, if he doesn't then we can all take that for what it means but continual calling out is not the right way to do it. Call him, I did and he denied knowing anything of what is going on in fchat and said he was going to call Rog immediately ..... did he ? Please leave this thread for Rog and SS if he comes back, I will be deleting anything relating to this thread in other topics. It is only farir to give someone some time to clear their name, even if this has happened before. Anymore threads opened on the topic will not be tolerated, this is not witchhunt.com

you knew what the score was but you didn't want to play it that way so I deleted the thread and will do so again. I don't give a damn what happened to his avatar, all I would like him to do is call you and give his explanation of what is going on. I don't go in for witchhunts or public lynching so will be keeping a close check on all the threads and DELETE as common decency sees fit. There is a case for exposing shady characters so others don't fall into the same trap but the facts have to be proven first .
