Does anyone remember the reaction of the Tifosi to this move. I know the reputation of Barnard at that time, but Enzo personally agreeing to this move was always shocking to me.

I could imagine if Sergio Marchionne decided to do this today, I think this board would go ballistic.

As Barnard penned some of the most beautiful Ferrari monopostos ever, I think the fans were enthused. The cars looked good and they had the likes of Berger, Mansell, Prost and Alesi as pilots. The only problem was the McLaren-Honda-Senna juggernaut was in full swing at the time.
