Perhaps Amon's uniform says "Stoddard". That would make more sense. He's holding a Jackie Stewart style helmet which actor Brian Bedford's character wore.

Maybe we should start a "Grand Prix - the film" thread.

Amon's suit is lettered "Scott" so presumably he performed driving duties for Brian Bedford(Scott Stoddard). IIRC Bedford did not have a driver's license.

Brian Bedford was terrible driving in the movie, They say James Garner was full on good at driving, could of been competitive. Supposedly Garner was burned making the movie, Last shot of movie shows mark on his neck.

In the film Garner's car caught fire on the final lap at Brands Hatch.

    Absolutely.

Unlike Jim, however, Paul showed he was capable of driving, not just could have been, or owning. ;)
(Heck, so did Dan Blocker...own that is)

Cowgirl and I keep Guido, our plutonium powered 550, in our hangar with the plane and we thought that was pretty cool...right up until we read about all the framed posters in your garage. Absolutely no way your place ain't cooler....

The Turner painting of Hawthorn and Collins was used for the cover of "Mon Ami Mate"... You might try and contact Turner's agent/artist's rep for prints...

Obviously the one in the middle is not male! Sex changes were not in style at the time.

No on Rindt, this photo was much earlier, maybe 1961.
