Ferrari has been asked about the possibility of a new Dino many times over many years. One can easily envision the blueprint for such a model: mid engine V6 twin turbo perhaps longitudinally mounted rather than transverse, with direct injection mated to a twin clutch DCT by Getrag. The body should have curves and vents and headlights which pay homage to the original. Maybe just offer a targa version whose top can be stowed on board behind the seats. Or better yet a folding self stowing hard top targa. Well, I for one, as well as many others would line up to buy it. Where is it?
I don't think so. I have a 4c and the chassis isn't viable for the new Dino. It would need alot of redesign to the point of being from scratch. The new Dino will use a variation of the Ghibli V6 twin turbo or the Alfa V6 twin turbo. So, both of those exist. I think the car will show up at the shows in the next 2 years maximum and perhaps less. They already have a test mule running under a 458 skin.
