FFS, I am so over Hanoi-Jane arguing for communists.

Australian coal is much higher quality than any found in China. With less impurities it makes better steel and, in the case of thermal coal, significantly reduces the maintenance costs for power stations.

The Chinese government may impose poorer quality through central planning incompetence, but they will suffer the consequences. Remember FIAT and Russian steel in the 70's.

Running out of coal........... Indonesia which also sells coal to Chinah ,is ranked 11th in the world as far as coal reserves 25,000,000,000 tons or equal to 265 years at the current dig-up rate.

Chinah also burns coal from Mongolia their reserve of coal is 2,800,000,000 tons of the stuff at the current dig-up rate of 350 years worth

So the world is running out of coal and Chinah has the reserves ............right

    P.S. I couldn't be bothered looking up Australia's reserves.

    Hanoi-Jane to funny.:p

OH here we go, Australian coal reserves at the current dig-up rate with 1,231 years left of digging.

Clever Chinah keeping back her own reserves!

I do not argue FOR the communists but rather for people to open their eyes as to how the Chinese think and plan...
Remember how all the ‘smart’ people claimed China would never achieve anything; would never be an exporter; etc etc
Just like the claims in the 60s that Australians would never buy Japanese cars - how’d that work out?

Rubbish: Ever heard of Arnold Glass "Capital Motors? or the Toyota importers Thiess who in 1959 started importing Toyota Landcruisers into Australia for Snowy Mountains scheme?

When Japanese car manufacturers decided n the late '50s to export it was NOT to Asia but to Australia.

From June 1965 to August 1967, Japanese cars were featured 9 TIMES on the cover of Wheels magazine.

In early 1966 Toyota was the 1st Japanese manufacturer to locally assemble cars in Australia.

Datsun did the same with 1600 in 1967.

1965 Toyota sold 18,000 cars in Australia the same year just 9,000 cars in the States.

Mate in London sent me this this morning.

Presumably from a current article, although I’d bet values have slid a lot in the last couple of months.

Still plenty of upside left in the current economy
Governments around the world are still pumping money into infrastructure projects
Huge number of cranes across Sydney CBD, the burbs, central coast and Newcastle.
Plenty of competition from other states for resources for several years to finish off those projects.
Big crash coming in a few years time.
Thankfully most of our National debt is in AUD

Frankly I don’t think they should be allowed to buy property here, but that’s another issue entirely…

I should take photos and post them.

Around my area there are about 6 unfinished mansions, most land value alone would be 6 million plus (all large blocks ) They have been unfinished for years, just rotting away.

I'm told by various people the owners, have been jailed by the CCP, and thus the properties over time will either be sold and pulled-down with the funds going back to Chinah.

It’s not GENERALLY the government selling stuff off, but rather private sellers looking to cash in(remember again Gina Reinhards’s dirty deal to get the Kidman properties for China) and dodgy realestate agents that happiley accept suitcases of cash when they KNOW the legal export from China is only $50k per year...
This is a classic case if the actual crooks trying to blame governments forheir bad behaviour.
