should the car in front just turn in and let the crash happen anyway or turn away to avoid the collision?

I now vote for the former, otherwise the bonzai-ist gets rewarded. Both times it happened at Monaco the leading driver did a fantastic job to avoid crashing, but was severly penalized in the result. If the crash happened, I think the bonzai-ist would get some critical attention -- and if happened a 2nd time some serious penalty.

    Am I wrong?

It's usually a fine line that separates a bonzai move and a well-executed pass. Especially on a track where passing is almost nil. Bonzai moves usually end up in contact for that very reason--the over-takee doesn't know the over-taker is there until it's too late. I don't like that slower drivers take advantage of a tight circuit like Monaco to keep faster cars behind them. Remember a few years ago when DC couldn't get around the Arrows, despite attempting a couple "dive bombs"? The FIA can't really get too involved in legislating passing, other than penalizing blatantly reckless moves, as to avoid determining race outcomes. I think the system is okay right now, and that the rules should address the chassis' designs to enhance passing.

That's a tough one... If I were the recipient of such a move, I guess it would have to depend on what position I was holding, and how many laps were left. I firmly believe that even 1 pt. is better than 0 pts & "making a point", but these things are so situationally dependant.

I could see myself doing any one of three things:

    - Holding my ground, keeping someone behind me in the case of a final few laps, podium situation,

    - Turning in to "prove a point" if I felt I was just being bullied

    - Moving over and letting him go by if it means I get to finish the race in a points-paying position, where the only other alternative is a bonzai move that would leave both of us with DNFs.
