After seeing this thread on my dad's birthday last Friday, I realized you know you're old when they don't even bother to put as many candles as your years of age on your cake! He just had one big one.

I've noticed the same thing...girls that would have been borderline or even "ugly" in my HS and college days look very good and fresh, as long as they are not badly overweight...but then, fashion, hair, cosmetics... everything women do to enhance their appearance has come light-years since the 60's and early 70's.
