In the North Carolina / South Carolina section a person was inquiring about dealing with a speeding ticket. One person stated "Obey the Law" which I took as alittle self rightous, but made me think "well how do people drive their Ferrari when they take it out for a drive"?

When I take my car out, I push the car and myself on back country roads. Given the loudness of the car, I do not stay in the same area as some of the residences surely would not appreciate the sound as much as I do.

So, how do you drive, when you take your car out for a drive???

I would recommend being careful what you post about said driving habits. Should something ever occur (crash, loss of control,etc...) it could be used as evidence to demonstrate your behavior...

Perhaps talking about how hard you push the car or yourself in a controlled enviroment (like a track) would be a better idea. :)

Anytime there are pedestrians or other cars around, I drive my F355 just alike a chaufer would drive a Rolls Royce.

Not saying how I drive when the above conditions are not in play.

There is always someone speeding on the road.
As a considerate driver I let them overtake me.
    Then I do my magic.

Those drivers are just perfect police bait.

I drive according to what type of road I am on. If on the back country road I amp up the RPM's.

Part of the joy of having a car that is not so ridiculously fast is the fact that you can enjoy accelerating, heel/toeing, cornering, etc. without as much risk of destroying every vehicular law in your area...or your car and yourself. :) I keep her happy, up on the tach, but always well under control and within the law. Unless I'm in a place where the laws do not apply.

I don't open my car up very often unless I am on a back road with little traffic. I also find that one of the most pleasurable things about the car is the sound from the Tubi exhaust. So I get a similar rush from being at 5000-7000 rpm in a lower gear than I do at the same rpm in fifth or sixth. I have some incredible mountain roads at my disposal nearby and love to push the envelope a bit on the curves, but I make sure that I don't tailgate, or appear aggressive in the presence of other drivers. The last thing I want to do is perpetuate the stereotype that all guys that drive red sports cars are immature and full of testosterone. There are plenty of seemingly immortal young guns with built up Hondas and Mitsubishis around here that work very hard to earn that label. I guess I just feel some sort of responsibility to act respectfully when driving, especially when it's my Ferrari.

I drive in a manner commensurate with my IQ. I'm an idiot. Arrest me.
