Just wondering if an Fchat member owns or knows of the where abouts of my 79 308 GT4? SN # 15302, Blue/Tan, sold in early 90's. Thanks, Jon
According to the dino-gt4 registry it's still in Texas? http://www.dino-gt4-registry.com/Reg-1979.htm
Since you owned it Jon it has traveled around a bit. It was recently owned by a fellow Fchatter. 10/94 for sale Ferrari of Houston (TX) 9k miles 3/2007 for sale C. Diasio (FL) $30k 11k miles 3/07 purchased by J. F. Ah, yes. I remember seeing this car at the Ferrari Historic Challenge Series races at Sears Point, er, "Infineon" Raceway this year. The owner (at the time) was an FChat member, though I can't recall his screen name. Gorgeous car, though!
Pretty GT4! This place is amazing! A guy comes on and asks about the whereabouts of a car he sold 10 years ago, and within a day there is a link to it for sale on eBay! Amazing! Birdman
The car looks great! Glad to see it has been well cared for over the years. The sellers narrative is good, however I was the 2nd owner when I bought it from Ferrari of Houston, when it was then given a major service due to lack of use. I bought the 16" wheels which made a huge difference in how the car rode and handled. When I bought it the original XWX's were still on it. Jon
Sure is! But $37k in THIS market? I hope he doesn't need the money for an impending heart transplant or something. Ken
In case Jon H is still interested in his old car, I found it on the IAAI website with "engine burn" damage: 1979 FERRARI 308 GT4 for Auction - IAA (iaai.com)
Nice 1st post after 18 yrs . Here is an image of the window sticker...perhaps he was the original owner? Image Unavailable, Please Login
I bought 15302 from the seller in California, and sold it to the fellow in SD, who posted a few times here as jet.gorilla. He was a great guy to deal with and seemed to love the car. I hope he is ok. Selling it was the biggest mistake of my automotive journey. I am heartbroken to see that it caught fire.
