The Spec. RX7 lap record is now 1:27.8. I was first one under 1:28, but someone took my record by a tenth. Typical Spec. RX7 pole times are 1:29 and midfield times 1:30.

I wasn't holding back in the GranSport, but the MSP was. :) Next time definitely without the MSP.

    Im bumping this.

With the Economy getting worse and worse and the Ph2 GT3 out last week, Ph1 GT3 should be going down no?

Crystal ball says all signs point to yes. Hard to imagine that the Phase 2 will carry the premiums over MSRP that new wild exotics had been doing the last 10 years, given the economic state of our country, or world for that matter. Those premiums could've held prices higher on the Phase 1 cars but...Get one in the Green like the 73 RS, after enough of the phase 2 cars have entered the market and prices have dove on the Ph1 cars my fellow Chicagoan!!!

Rob, you should talk to Mark. He has a 996 GT3 with rear seats. He also drives it on the track every now and then.

I've seen it a couple times when he brings out with the Challenge. Never been in one though.

I drove one with the races buckets and roll cage and it was an incredible car! It's the only Porsche I've ever driven but it was just as fun to drive as any of the Ferraris I've driven.

I've been looking at 997 GT3's also... it's amazing how well they've held their value.

I must admit, being an older guy, who learned to deive with RWD cars, I never felt comfotble in an AWD car, turned my 996TT into rwd, and changing my Gallardo to RWD next week. I guess I'm too old to learn new tricks
