After almost two weeks driving along the Calif. coast, I have seen numerous Ferrari models, but nary a Dino. Where are they all hiding? Guess I'll have to wait until I return home to see one! 2GT

    Fred,
Sorry but we are not that hard to find if you call ahead. Chances of finding by chance are zero. I am in SB phone book. You can always PM or email me through FChat. Love to show off the car and Santa Barbara. You will find cars every hundred miles or so along the coast from San Diego to San Francisco. Inland is much thinner. Use FChat to find likely hosts.

John, Sorry that I didn't get the chance to call you when I was in Morro Bay. Some other time, perhaps. I'm just anxious to see a Dino soon. I may burst by the time I return home! Fred

I agree call John or me or better yet both of us and you get to see 2 styles of Dino's in one parking lot.

John and I need an excuse to meet at In-n-out Burger again anyway.

i must be the most patient person. last time i saw one driving on the road (not including my car) was over three years ago and that was in la. the last time i saw one driving in texas was almost 8 years ago. i have seen a couple here and there, but none recently "in the wild".

i could say the same thing about almost all the older ferrari's, though. the last "old" car i saw was a daytona almost two years ago.

Mikey, I saw a red FIAT Dino Spyder on the 101 several days ago. Was that yours? It was the first one that I had seen in over 30 years. The last sighting was in Milan, I think. You don't normally see them on the East Coast. I stand corrected about not seeing any Dinos. I was referring to Ferrari Dinos, but I would have mentioned the FIAT, but forgot about the spotting. I wish that I could have seen all of your cars. Many thanks. Fred

It depends on where you were on the 101, the 101 is a long freeway :) But yes, I do drive my Dino a lot and I did drive it every day last week including on the 101, if you were near Santa Barbara, it was mine.

    See what you've started, Fred?
This thread's lookin' good! With any luck, a few more CA dwellers will chime in with pics of their cars.

Where are you now? If Here, will you be heading back There via LAX or SFO or SAN? You might be able to see Dinos...in the flesh...if you're still with us on the Left Coast.

At any rate, I trust that you are having a good time in our fabulous state. Keep us posted.

Coop, I returned home Thursday night via LAX and DFW. Didn't get a chance to drive the blue Dino this past weekend. The red one is already in storage. I was happy to receive in Satuday's mail a note from Brenda Vernor and a copy of her interview with England's "Auto Italia" magazine. I don't know if it's in the current issue, but I will check at my local mega-newsstand. I'm sorry that I missed all these wonderful Dinos, but I think that I saw Mikey's FIAT Dino spyder. Thanks for all of these wonderful pictures. I never tire of seeing Dino photos, and am never more excited than when I fist see another Dino (first thing I do is eyeball the VIN!). You guys are the best!
