Talk about a sea of red!

 

All the cars were moved out to what I believe is Colorado earlier this year. What I am told they are not coming back.

 

Did you speak with the owner of the 246 GTS?

Was his name Jack by chance?

In terms of Ralph's cars being moved, they occupy space in both Bedford and Montauk and are also shuttled to Colorado depending on the time of the year.

Ralph is having a facility built in Bedford where he will be able to store all of his machines in one location.

That facility is yet to be completed...

 

Bedford, really???? That's like 5 minutes away from me!

 

Ralph moves his cars around a lot, depending on what he feels like driving. He has a 12 car garage in Bedford, a 70 car warehouse in Montauk, and another 12 car garage at his ranch in Colorado. He bought the old Mercedes warehouse in Mt. Kisco and is currently turning it into a garage for most of his collection. At last update, it will be completed next summer.... Schedules keep getting pushed back because of his pickiness.

Yes, off Hamilton I think. I'll be out there all next week and always peek as I go by to see if there is anything outside. Did you take those photos yourself? If so, nice shots!

Yep, and Martha too. Gorgeous cruising area, lakes, ponds etc. I often cruise by as my daughter is at that age where "famous" people are important to her. Gate is usually closed although I have seen a couple of F cars waiting for the gate to open a few times.

 

joe girardi is my next door neighbor and billy baldwin lives off of chessnut...chaz p is on stone paddock...brendon frasier is a little further north...bedford is a great area...very laid back, doesnt have the same sense of entitlement as armonk etc...

 

Yeah, I live in Bedford Hills, which is technically where his garage is being built. If you are getting onto Sawmill North from Adams St. or Harris rd., you will see a red and beige building on your left, across from the asphalt plant or whatever that is, which is where all of his cars will be.

 

Agree on the Armonk quote. When we were looking in 95 I really wanted either Pound ridge or Bedford, Armonk did not even come into play...maybe it wasn't far north enough for me. I'm in Pound Ridge so have caught Ralph cruising on a few occasions. Actually gave chase one Sun am. I was at the Bedford Cross in our Minivan of all things and I see this Mclaren being closely followed by this red F car. They were headed north on 22 so I caught a quick left and gave chase (all 185hp). They must have been doing like 70 but I was able to see them turn and as I passed by they were pulled in waiting for the gate to open.

Don't know how you guys feel but we are really blessed with what I think are some of the best country driving roads out there. It's a definite pleasure on the wknds early am or just before sundown. The friggin power outtages are another matter though!

 

lol, i hear ya. ive seen the famous people drive by trattoria lucia on rt 22...just sit outside on a saturday night and its pretty fun...

i gassed up at the shell last week in armonk...woman pulls up to the full serve, gets out of her car and leaves it there while she walks across the street to the coffee shop...only in armonk...

i live off of 128 and commute to stamford and i agree, the roads are awesome...wrt to the power outages, get a generator! what do u drive? ill look out for you when im out and about.

Sure it's beautiful up there, and I see tons of beautiful cars on 684-N and RT-22 alike, but where's the BEACH??? That's why Rye is about; the beach.... Oh, and PLAYLAND! LOL!


And on top of that, it's much closer to NYC or Long Island. Only thing that stinks is there are literally no beautiful roads of any sort to drive on It's more congested.

 

Haha yeah, that's the only thing we're missing. But yes the roads are great, the power outages... not so much. There's a nice road in Bedford Hills, I don't want to mention the name (cops are *****es around here). But whenever I test drive cars... that's where I go. And plus, the dirt roads are fun to slide around in the Clitaurus.

 

Well I can usually be seen in an 87 Birtubo Spyder or a 96 Corvette Grand Sport, Blue/White Stripe down the middle or a 91 Alfa 164S, Black. The Vette's on the market for the past month as I've fallen pretty hard for a local 85 TR. Damn market seems to have fallen overnight on my car. People seem to be really afraid to pull the trigger. Have actually recd higher offers from a couple of dealers vs a private sale. I have totally blown away the past month just dreaming/breathing this TR. So, I definitely need to make a decision soon or I'll go absolutely crazy with this whole thing!
