In this particular case it looks like yes, but we know for sure when she's back in the workshop. according to the team it should be possible. otherwise, new chassis but in general you can fix much more than you think... This Car here had about 3 fronts gone in 2018 and I raced her in Abu Dhabi and she was brilliant, until my teammate crashed her again ....
In the case of the GT3 i can tell you, car was on the outlap on cold slicks, track was still partly wet and very cold. It was Qualification run and i also tried slicks as - often in Spa - some parts of the track were wet, some not. Long story short, the track was extremely slippery, i did one lap and came back immediately for Wets. The Driver of 71 just left the pits and tried to warm up with acceleration and braking and when hit the throttle the car snapped immediately. The Michelin known for being a bit tricky when new and cold, even when its dry. The situation here was one of the worse you can have. I don’t know what happened to the GTE, it could be front Tire blow up.

Went in the wall at the Red Bull Ring today. Big hit. Tough one to repair. Looks more or less like same damage the Sebring suffered?
What do you think about this particular car: https://suchen.mobile.de/auto-inserat/ferrari-348-challenge-ferrari-stuttgart-b%C3%B6blingen/276285232.html?action=parkItem First owner German Ulrich Plattenhardt, who unfortunately died six years later in an accident with his 360 Challenge...
From Sportscar365 today. WEC Spa..... "Clearwater Racing is using a new Ferrari 488 GTE chassis after its previous example was heavily damaged in a crash during qualifying for the 1000 Miles of Sebring." "The Singaporean team is using the same gearbox, engine and other components from its previous car while the chassis is brand new and will turn its first laps in Thursday practice." We can conclude that chassis can not be repaired? Normally in 6 weeks a new car is built!!
Chassis will be repaired, there was simply not enough time to do it properly. ***Team principal Arj Kulasegaram told Sportscar365 that the time constraints posed by the championship’s sea freight schedule, combined with the repair time, led to Clearwater’s request for a new chassis. “[The previous] chassis will be repaired,” he confirmed. “There’s no time to do it between now and Le Mans, but it will be repaired.”
Thank you for your reply. May I ask why swap engine/gearbox and other parts when there is a complete spare car available? I do not understand. 3816 has now quite a “history”. Is it only due the fact that the car has a new “private” owner? If it was a works car (by Ferrari team) it would have been scrapped, like they did in the 60-70s, correct?
Good car, saw it today. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Well I haven't been involved in this particular case but we share the same Engineers so I had some informations. Generally speaking, you respect the history of a chassis much more these days then back in the 60' especially when the car did Le Mans.
348 Challenge sn 98813 139.900 EUR If you want to buy: offer them 120k be sure the car is registered at Ferrari as a Ferrari 348 Challenge or known by SpA as a challenge car converted from the road car. Costs to certify are around 7000 EUR (at least we got it presented for a F355C)
The car is not new but 3822. (Krohn Racing) with engine, gearbox and other parts from the wrecked Sebring car.
