Joined in Jan, 2002. But i didnt have that updated when there was the big software switch.

 

I joined just before I got my 308 in 2/2002 (like december 2001 lurking mostly until I got the lay of the land as it were)...but I too was lost in the big software switch.
Story of my life...lost in the shuffle (that would be the curly shuffle for those that remember )

 

Thanks for the outreach Rob. I've been an FChat user since March of 2001, about two months before I purchased my 328. This site was incredibly helpful then, and still continues to be a great resource for me with regard to all things Ferrari. It is, IMO, the best site out there. I will not be breaking any post records any time soon, but I do visit this site multiple times every day, yet rarely ever post on the NYTS forum. Its ironic, given that I live within ten miles of midtown... The NYTS content, for the most part, just doesn't appeal to me. Many times it strays so far from the central theme, Ferrari, that I find myself frequenting FChat's other forums. At other times, IMO, its rude, juevenile, offensive, stupid, fatuous, etc. When I visit FChat, I'd like to come away with something positive, and hopefully contribute in the same way.

Ultimately, its nice to know that I'm not the only one with Red Mist, and that the ownership, enjoyment, and preservation of Ferraris is alive and well all over the world. I, and I'm sure others feel the same way, just don't have time for nonsense.

 

I'm David from Long Island. I don't post that often, but visit F-chat almost daily. I go with my wife to a few of the annual exotic car shows in the Tri-State area. And I always have a camera of some sort with me at the shows to take zillions of photos of 308's. Also, I have a small, but really nice little collection of 1:18 cars, primarly F-cars. I've got a Mondial Grill hanging on our den wall and a 348 wheel as a coffee table. Oh and a Mondial Fender in the backyard along the back fence. So I can always see a Ferrari (or a small part thereof) when looking out the window while eating breakfast.

However, I'm still working my butt off towards that first 1:1 Ferrari (US spec, red/tan, 308 GTS QV or Mondial 3.2 coupe). THEN I CAN POST SOME PICS!! Still too far away from achieving it though. But my wife and I are almost ready to launch a small, home-based business with an ecommerce tie-in - and yet keeping my F/T job at the same time. This could certainly help me reach the goal of Fcar ownership, so anyone who has any advice for a small biz startup, please send them to me thanks!

Visited the factory in '74, worked very briefly
for Chinetti a long time ago, have some letters
from Enzo. So though I don't post or visit much
you can see that I'm hooked and have been for years.
